      PASCAL PERRI, Syracuse ’50, was an undefeated high school wrestler for legendary Sprig Gardner at Mepham High. A Student Body President competing in four sports, Pascal was a two-time Long Island champion and won Junior and Senior New York AAUs. After two years as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army, Perri became co-captain of Syracuse’s first EIWA team champion.  A 2-time EIWA champion at 165 (also fourth), Perri was elected Student/Athlete representative to the Athletic Council.

            Pascal entered publishing and was a VP for Simon and Schuster, owner, VP with Natales Press.  He’s a founder of the L.I. Wrestling Officials Association and the Key Founder and First President of the National Wrestling Officials Association.  He served 17 years as president of the EIWOA officials’ organization and refereed at 27 Easterns and 17 NCAAs.  The official of the Gable-Owings final, Pascal was inducted into the NY College Coaches Hall of Fame, EIWA Officials HOF and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. He’s a founder of the Friends of Long Island Wrestling, and the Downstate NY Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
