CAMBRIDGE, Mass. –– Harvard wrestling hosted its final home dual of the season on Sunday, Feb. 4 against the Penn Quakers. The Crimson fell short, losing 34-6.
Despite the team loss, Harvard claimed the match of the day with senior No. 9 Philip Conigliaro defeating No. 6 Nick Incontrera by decision. The Crimson top-ranked wrestler sets himself up with another dual victory, looking to improve his national ranking after this head-to-head battle.
HARVARD HIGHLIGHTS
- Senior 165-pound wrestler Joshua Kim goes undefeated on the weekend with a win over Penn's Kaya Sement by decision, 8-3. This is Kim's 13th win of the season and his 7th in dual meets.
- Kim improves to 7-3 in matches won by decision.
- Conigliaro rocked the Malkin Athletic Center with a huge win over nationally ranked Nick Incontrera. In a low scoring affair, Conigliaro held on to a narrow lead until the final whistle sounded.Â
- Conigliaro earns his 18th win of the year and stays undefeated in dual meets thus far.Â
