BROOKVILLE, N.Y. — The LIU wrestling team is headed into the New Year on a high note.

The Sharks defeated Edinboro, 29-3, at Pratt Recreation Center on Friday afternoon.

Among the most dramatic victories on the day:

• Blake Bahna produced a reversal in the final second to eke out a 7-6 win over Joey Arnold at 174 pounds.

• Rhise Royster scored a 4-1 victory over Luke Kemerer at 157 pounds, also as time was expiriung.

• Anthony D'Alesio prevailed in overtime, 4-1, over Brody Evans at 184 pounds.

The other winners: Robbie Sagaris (4-0, 125 pounds), Devin Matthews (6-1, 141 pounds), Drew Witham (11-2, 149 pounds), James Johnston (8-2, 165 pounds), John Dusza (14-2, 197 pounds) and Aeden Begue (6-0, 285 pounds).

The Sharks return to action Jan. 5 at the David H. Lehman F&M Open in Lancaster, Pa.
