Wrestling Falls to No. 10 Cornell

PRINCETON, NJ - On Friday night at Jadwin Gymnasium, the Princeton wrestling team suffered a defeat against No. 10 Cornell, losing 35-3. Mikey Squires emerged as the sole Tiger to secure a victory in his weight class at 174.
Tonight's matchup saw the Tigers conceding nine out of ten bouts against Cornell's top-ranked wrestlers.
Mikey Squires came out on top in the 174 with a 5-1 decision over Cornell's Evan Canoyer. Squires, tied at one with his opponent, Squires executed a crucial takedown in the final period with less than 10 seconds remaining on the clock. Squires was also awarded an additional point for riding time.

Luke Stout and Eligh Rivera both engaged in closely contested bouts, with only a single takedown standing between them and victory in their respective weight classes.
