CLARION, Pa. — The LIU wrestling team defeated Morgan State on Sunday while also facing Kent State and host Clarion.

The Sharks defeated Morgan State, 25-9, to open the event.

Robbie Sagaris produced a technical fall at 125 pounds to kick things off.

Devin Matthews (7-2 at 141 pounds), Drew Witham (12-4 at 149), Rhise Royster (12-6 at 157), Corey Connolly (14-9 at 174), Gavin Claro (11-2 at 184) and John Dusza (2-1 at 197) also produced victories.

LIU fell to host Clarion 39-6 and Kent State 26-7.

The Sharks return to action at Hofstra on Saturday  at 1 p.m.
