BROOKVILLE, N.Y. – The Brown wrestling team defeated LIU 22-22 to collect its second EIWA dual win of the season.
 
"It took a total team effort today," said Todd Beckerman, Marvin Wilenzik '56 Head Coaching Chair for Brown Wrestling. "The team wrestled well, but we still have some areas to continue building upon in practice. We have a short week to prepare for our last two home duals of the season and honor our seniors. Let's pack the Pizz and celebrate our seniors this week!"
 
The match began with the 184-weight class and an 11-4 decision win for James Araneo.
 
Hunter Adrian won at 125, 3-2, over Robbie Sagaris. Nicky Cabanillas won at 133, 5-2, and Timothy Levine followed with a win via forfeit at 141.
 
Jack Bokina (157) won 8-4 in overtime and Drew Clearie (174) dominated 19-6.
 
Brown won the final three matches to clinch the win 22-12. Below are the full results

NEXT UP
The final two duals of the regular season will be at home for Brown. The Bears host Harvard on Thursday, February 17 at 7 p.m., and Senior Day will be on Sunday, February 20 at 1 p.m. versus Sacred Heart.
 
Sunday will also be the Rumble and Tumble with gymnastics hosting LIU and Rhode Island College.
