How it Happened
#10 Colaiocco won the Red and Blue's first contest of the day with the sole tech fall victory of the meet. The senior did not trail once, taking down Sulayman Bah (Columbia) twice in the first to lead 6-1. He kept his momentum rolling in the second with two additional takedowns and then two more in the third to top Bah, 19-4, and give the Quakers a lead they would not give up again.

Nationally ranked Composto won his second straight dual from a victory by decision over the Lions' Kai Owen. Compsoto struck first in the match, scoring a takedown to lead 3-1 after two minutes of action. A quiet second period involved Composto earning a point from an escape, but the third was anything but dull as the junior tallied six points, including a takedown to beat Bah by decision, 10-3, to push Penn's team lead to 8-3.

Sophomore Troczynski won the first dual of his collegiate career with a major decision win over Rich Fedalen. Troczynski got on the scoreboard early in the match with a takedown to lead 3-1 going into the second. The New Jersey native kept it rolling in the third, escaping Fedalen to advance his lead to 4-2. Troczynski caught a spark at the end of the third, recording seven straight points, with four coming from back points to win the dual 11-2.

#23 Revano got back in the win column today with a major decision victory over David Berkovich (Columbia). A scoreless first period did not deter Revano as he amped up the intensity of the match in the second, recording five quick points, with four coming from a stall warning to Berkovich and a takedown. The senior did not let up in the final period, scoring four more takedowns in two minutes to win by major decision over Berkovich, 18-5, and push the Quakers' lead to double figures.

Sement won his third dual of the year against Columbia's Kyle Mosher. Sement controlled the pace of the match the entire six minutes, scoring a takedown in the first to lead 3-0 and then adding back points to the board to lead 7-0 after two. Sement allowed Mosher to score only two points in the match, adding one more to the board for himself to win by decision, 8-2.

The battle at 174 was intense from the start, with Incontrera and Columbia's Lennox Wolak both being ranked seventh in the country heading into the contest. A scoreless first period added to the anticipation, but Incontrera broke the tie with an escape to start the second. Wolak put up a fight, opening the final period with an escape to tie the bout at one. Incontrera prevailed, scoring the sole takedown of the match to create a deficit too deep for Wolak, winning the contest and his sixth straight dual by decision, 5-3.

The top 20 battles at 184 resulted in #17 Hale's sixth dual win of the year from a decision over #19 Aaron Ayzerov. Hale attacked first in the bout, taking down Ayzerov to lead 3-2 after the first. The Lion tied the match up at three from an escape to open the second, which Hale did not take lightly as he added another takedown on the board to lead again at 6-3. The junior added one final security takedown to the score in the third to grab the match by decision, 9-4.

Urbas grabbed Penn's eighth triumph of the meet from a win by decision over #27 Jack Wehmeyer. Urbas got on the board early, taking down Wehmeyer to lead 3-0 for most of the first and second periods. Columbia added a point to the board right at the end of the second, which Urbas responded to with a takedown to start the third. The senior tallied one final point at the end to win 7-1.

Penn's final win of the day and Stout's first dual win of the year came from a match by decision over Columbia's Billy McChesney. The Lion scored first in the contest, but Stout attacked back quickly, with four points to lead 4-3 after one. Stout added four more points to his lead in the second, with three coming from his second takedown of the battle. The third period was intense, with both grapplers fighting back, but senior Stout put the nail in the coffin with two more points to win 10-6, securing the Quakers' first victory at home.
