COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Five Dragons were victorious by decision but Drexel fell short to their B1G foe, Maryland, 27-15 on Friday Night at the Xfinity Center Pavilion. Tyler Williams, #33 Cody Walsh, Jack Janda, Desmond Pleasant, and Dom Findora all had their hands raised. The Dragons host EIWA rival, Hofstra at the DAC for Senior Day, tomorrow at 4 p.m. in their final test before the EIWA Championships, March 8-9.
 
The dual started at 157lbs as Tyler Williams was matched up against Kevin Schork. Williams was aggressive early as he scored a takedown in the first minute. After an escape point from bottom, he entered the final frame with a four-point advantage and claimed the first bout for the Dragons. #33 Cody Walsh looked to build a run for Drexel. The start of the match was a defensive battled a takedown by #33 Walsh in the second period. The redshirt-junior held on to defeat Gaven Bell, 4-0.
 
At 174lbs, Jack Janda and Dominic Solis entered sudden victory tied at one. Janda was successful on a with 50 seconds left into extra time and was able to takedown the Terps for Drexel's third consecutive victory. Maryland won by bonus points at 184-285 to claim a 16-9 lead. At 125, Desmond Pleasant earned two takedowns and scored a reversal for a 9-3 decision, to put the Dragons back on the board. The Terps claimed 133 and 141 for a 22-12 advantage. Dom Findora defeated Michael Pizzuto at 149lbs as he picked up eight points in the third period to end the night on a high note for the Dragons.
