FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Sacred Heart University men's wrestling team fell in its home opener to the Fighting Scots of Edinboro University by a final score of 27-14 on Thursday evening inside the Pitt Center.

• Scott Jarosz earned one of the Pioneers' three victories after defeating Edinboros' Max Kirby at 165 pounds by major decision, 11-1.
• Jake Ice was the next Pioneer to come away with a victory at 125 pounds. Ice defeated Eamonn Jimenez by major decision, 10-2. 
• Andrew Fallon recorded the Pioneers' third and final win of the day at 133 pounds by forfeit.
