Joshua Ogunsanya earned wins in their bouts as Columbia lost the match to No. 27 Penn, 25-9 on Sunday afternoon in Levien Gym. The Lions move to 2-5 overall, 2-1 in EIWA, and 1-1 in Ivy League duals.

Nick Babin started the day off for the Lions at 125. He lost a tight 4-3 decision to Penn's No. 24 Ryan Miller. No. 26
Angelo Rini came to the mat next for the 133 bout. He was pinned by No. 7 Michael Colaiocco as the Quakers jumped out to a 9-0 lead through two bouts.
The Lions would post their first bout win of the day as No. 24
Matt Kazimir outlasted Carmen Ferrante at 141 to take a 1-0 decision win. Kazimir used one escape point to earn the win in a tight battle. No. 10 Doug Zapf stole the Penn momentum back in the 149 bout as he defeated
Danny Fongaro in a 5-1 decision to put the Quakers up, 12-3.
Columbia battled back with back-to-back sudden victories in the 157 and 165 bouts. No. 21
Cesar Alvan earned a 7-5 decision win over No. 12 Anthony Artalona. Alvan used an impressive takedown move to earn the sudden victory. No. 17
Joshua Ogunsanya took a sudden victory win with a takedown to defeat No. 32 Lucas Revano. The two were tied, 1-1 before Ogunsanya won with the critical takedown.
Penn would capture the last four bouts of the afternoon to secure a 25-9 win. No. 16 Nick Incontrera defeated No. 26
Lennox Wolak in a 10-2 major decision at 174. Maximus Hale then defeated
Aaron Ayzerov in a 7-2 decision at 184. No. 30 Cole Urbas earned a 4-2 decision in sudden victory over
Jack Wehmeyer in the 197 bout. No. 29 Ben Goldin wrapped up the match with a 6-0 decision over
Billy McChesney.
