LANCASTER, Pa. – Despite a depleted roster and two dual meet losses, the LIU wrestling team won most matches Sunday in back-to-back dual meets against VMI and Franklin and Marshall. The Sharks fell to VMI 24-22, and to F& M, 32-16.
 
SHARK BITES

• LIU again won five of seven matches in the opener against Virginia Military Institute, forfeiting matches at 141 lbs, 149 lbs and 165 lbs.
• LIU also won four of the seven matches against F&M.
• Freshman Robbie Sagaris was 2-0 on the day, with two major decision wins at 125.
• Freshman Kaelan Francois had a come-from-behind win in his first match of the day.
• Senior Nunzio Crowley was also 2-0 on the day with two decision wins at 197.
• Up next, the Sharks return home to host their first dual meet of the season, welcoming Bloomsburg, Wednesday, December 15 at 7 p.m.
