Bearcats have won seven of their last eight duals

PRINCETON, N.J. – The Binghamton wrestling team extended its winning streak to four duals after the Bearcats defeated Princeton 26-12 Saturday at Jadwin Gymnasium. With the win, the Bearcats have now won seven of their last eight duals.

"The team did an outstanding job this weekend," said Binghamton Head Coach Kyle Borshoff. "Great, dominant wins in the duals. Big wins over ranked guys for Lou [DePrez] and Cory [Day]."

Highlights
  • Binghamton began the dual by securing two ranked victories. No. 9 Lou DePrez first defeated No. 11 Luke Stout 12-2 major decision. Following that, No. 16 Cory Day took down No. 27 Matt Cover 11-2. The two major decisions gave Binghamton an early 8-0 lead.
  • No. 18 Brevin Cassella, No. 32 Micah Roes, Carson Wagner, Nate Lucier, and Dimitri Gamkrelidze each finished the weekend 2-0 after each wrestler won their match on Saturday.
  • The Bearcats have now won nine of the last 12 duals against Princeton dating back to 2001.
  • This is the last time Binghamton faced Princeton as a conference opponent. The Ivy League announced in December that it will host its own wrestling tournament starting in the 2024-25 season.
