PHILADELPHIA – The 23rd-ranked University of Pennsylvania wrestling team rallied late to post a four-point win over Princeton on Friday night at The Palestra. The Quakers used a pair of decision wins and a major decision to erase a 15-9 Princeton advantage to remain undefeated at home in 2022-23.

Anthony Artalona got things going on the night with a 4-0 decision over Ty Whalen. Artalona took his first lead with a takedown in the first period and got an early escape in the second period as he built up riding time to secure the 4-0 shutout and get the home team off to a 3-0 start. The Tigers quickly tied the dual at 3-3 as #3 Quincy Monday earned a 3-1 decision over #32
Lucas Revano. Back-to-back shutout decision wins at 174 and 184 put Penn up 9-3. #13
Nick Incontrera wasted no time jumping out to a 7-0 lead after two periods and held off Kole Mulhauser to claim the 7-0 decision and put Penn back on top. #22
Maximus Hale extended the Quaker lead to 9-3 with a 4-0 decision. Hale used a takedown in the opening period to get all the points he would need. After taking a 3-0 lead early in the second period with an escape, he built up his riding time to gain the extra point and giving him a second straight victory over a ranked opponent. Princeton tied the dual at 9-9 as #17 Luke Stout pinned #30

After the ten minute break, Princeton took its first lead at 285 as #33 Travis Stefanik won by decision in the second sudden victory period over #29
Ben Goldin. The Tigers extended their lead as Patrick Glory posted an 8-6 decision over #16
Ryan Miller. In the third period, Miller got a pair of stalling calls on Glory and erased the extra point for riding time but it was not enough as Glory won to give Princeton a 15-9 advantage. That would be the final win of the night for the visitors as Penn closed out the dual with a pair of decision wins and a major decision win for the four-point dual victory. #7
Michael Colaiocco used a takedown to take a 2-0 lead in the first period and never looked back as he extended his lead to 7-2 after the second period. Anthony Clark cut into the deficit, but Colaiocco was able to hold on for the 7-5 decision. Penn regained the lead as For the second straight year,
Carmen Ferrante came through with a big win to lead the Red and Blue to a victory against Princeton. Ferrante posted a major decision victory over Chris Martino as he opened the bout with a pair of takedowns in the opening period and extended his lead to 9-2 after two periods. After building his riding time to over four minutes, Ferrante gave Penn its final lead of the night with an 11-2 major decision victory. #10
Doug Zapf closed out the dual with a 10-4 decision over Marshall Keller to secure Penn's victory on Friday night.
