Navy freshman Jadaen Bernstein has been named 2015 EIWA Freshman of the Year following an outstanding season where he won an EIWA Championship at 174 pounds, and went on to win a bout at the NCAA Championships in St. Louis.

The vote came from the 16 head coaches of the EIWA.

Bernstein is a graduate of Voorhees High School in Glen Gardner, NJ, and attended the Naval Academy Prep School. He was state runner-up in the New Jersey High School tournament in 2011.

He completes his season with a record of 24-15.
