Cornell sophomore Gabe Dean has been named 2015 EIWA Wrestler of the Year after winning the NCAA championship at 184 pounds this past weekend.

The vote was by the 16 head coaches of the EIWA.

Dean is a two-time NCAA champion who was EIWA Freshman of the Year a year ago.

He concludes the season with a record of 41-2, and capped his season with a 6-2 win over Nate Brown of Lehigh in the final round. Prior to his final bout, he defeated Patrick Kissell of Purdue, Timothy Dudley of Nebraska, Sam Brooks of Iowa and Victor Avery of Edinboro.
