Congratulations to the wrestlers who earned EIWA All-Academic Award honors for the 2023-24 season. Once again, a large number of student-athletes are honored with the award this year. Their accomplishments are a testament to their dedication and motivation to excel on and off of the mat, and to the high level of academics at all 17 member institutions! Wrestlers are awarded these honors when they meet the following academic and wrestling criteria:

EIWA All-Academic Award Criteria 

• Achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 and participated in the EIWA Tournament, or 
• Achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 and represented the EIWA and their institution at the NCAA Championships

F&M's James Conway tops list for both the EIWA and the entire field of wrestlers at the NCAA Championships. He received the NCAA's Elite 90 Award, as the wrestler (of 330 participants) in the NCAA Championship who had the highest GPA. 

The ELITE 90, an award founded by the NCAA, recognizes the true essence of the student-athlete by honoring the individual who has reached the pinnacle of competition at the national championship level in his or her sport, while also achieving the highest academic standard among his or her peers. The Elite 90 is presented to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 90 championships.
