PHILADELPHIA - Eight Dragons won their bouts as they defeated Hofstra, 24-9 on Senior Day at the DAC. Desmond Pleasant, John Hildebrandt, Jordan Soriano, Dom Findora, Tyler Williams, #33 Cody Walsh, Justin Griffith, and Ibrahim Ameer were all victorious on Saturday evening. DU ends the dual season at 8-10 and 5-4 against the EIWA.  Before the match, Drexel honored Santino Morina, Connor Trowbridge, and Williams.

Dual action started at 141lbs as Jordan Soriano took the mat against Alex Turley. The Westbury, N.Y. native scored a takedown in the first period en route to an 8-4 decision. Next for the Dragons was Dom Findora, whose match came down to the final period. The redshirt freshman was down 3-2 after Noah Tapia scored a takedown in the opening two minutes. Findora took a shot with five seconds left and was able to finish at the buzzer for the 5-4 victory. Fifth-year senior, Tyler Williams gave the Dragons their third consecutive win with a 5-1 decision headed into the first media timeout.

#33 Cody Walsh held Jake Slotnick scoreless and took him down in the third frame to extend Drexel's advantage to 12-0. Hofstra's Ross McFarland bested Jack Janda in extra time to put the Pride on the board with five matches remaining.
At 184lbs, Justin Griffith was back in the lineup for the Dragons and did not let his opportunity go to waste. After allowing a takedown in the first period, Griffith battled back with two takedowns of his own in the third period for an 8-6 decision. In the next bout, Ibrahim Ameer found his offense late in the second to cut Miller's lead to 5-3. Ameer recorded his eighth dual victory with two takedowns and a riding time point in the closing two minutes. The Pride won by fall at 285lbs to cut Drexel's lead to 18-9.

Desmond Pleasant was aggressive early, scoring three a minute into the bout. He controlled the pace of the match in a 5-1 decision. Pleasant's win clinched the bout with one matchup remaining. John Hildebrandt nearly pinned Dylan Ryder in the second period but he collected three near-fall points to end the dual season with an exclamation point in a 7-5 victory.
