ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Drexel wrestling team fell to No. 25 North Carolina, 33-0, in the Dragons first dual of the season. It was the first of two duals for DU on Saturday.

The Dragons opened the afternoon with a competitive 125 pound bout. No. 26 Spencer Moore took down Desmond Pleasant after earning two early takedowns in the first period to claim the 10-5 decision.

Jordan Soriano took on Jayden Scott at 141 pounds. Another UNC takedown in the opening period gave Scott the lead after one. Soriano fought back to score two points but Scott ultimately took the 5-2 decision victory. 

The 184 pound match saw a battle between ranked opponents. No. 32 Giuseppe Hoose matched up against No. 22 Gavin Kane. Two early takedowns in the first period gave Kane the quick advantage. Hoose rebounded to score points in his first match as a Dragon, but fell by decision, 15-9
