BROOKVILLE, N.Y. - The LIU wrestling team faced off against the University at Buffalo at the Pratt Recreation Center on Friday, falling to the Bulls, 27-6. The Sharks had two wins from the evening, from Ryan Ferro and Nunzio Crowley.
 
SHARK BITES

• Buffalo won the first six matches of the evening, including one technical fall, to take a 21-0 lead.
• Ryan Ferro earned the first win for the Sharks, defeating Jake Lanning by an 8-1 decision at 174.
• Nunzio Crowley had an exciting match at 187, with a tight 3-2 decision over Sam Mitchell. The match came down to the final seconds, and Crowley survived a Buffalo challenge to take the win.
• In an exhibition match, freshman Kaelan Francois had a dominant 15-1 major decision win over Jordan Reyes.
• Up next, the Sharks will host Binghamton University on Saturday, January 22 at 12 p.m.
