FAIRFIELD, Conn. – With the conference championship two weeks away, the Sacred Heart University men's wrestling team got one final tune-up on Sunday. Brown University spoiled the Pioneers' Senior Day, defeating SHU , 31-12, on Sunday.
 
The Pioneers finish the regular season at 0-13. Brown improved to 4-10.
 
The Pioneers came out and got the first two matches for a 6-0 lead. Nick Palumbo won for the fourth-straight time, defeating Sam McMongle, 10-4, at 157 pounds. At 165 pounds, Aidan Zarrella produced a 6-3 decision against Mason Spears.
 
Unfortunately, Sacred Heart would only get six more points the rest of the afternoon. SHU got six points from a forfeit at 125 pounds.
 
SHU has two weeks off before the EIWA Championships, March 4-5, hosted by Penn.
