PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Junior Justin Bierdumpfel and sophomore Drew Clearie each won a match in this weekend's duals against No. 20 Pitt on Friday and No. 25 Michigan State on Saturday at the Pizzitola Sports Center.
 
Bierdumpfel took a 6-4 decision over Pitt's freshman Emory Taylor at 141 on Friday night, while Clearie won at 174 with a pair of take downs against Michigan State's sophomore Ryan Boucher.

"We competed against two great teams this weekend, so our fans were treated with some high level wrestling," said Head Coach Jordan Leen. "I am pleased with the progression our team is making. We took a step in the right direction from Friday to Saturday night in terms of the way we competed. We have some individuals who are wrestling the right way and putting up points against high level opponents. I look forward to flipping some of those matches over to the win column in time."
