Maryland Cruises to a 43-3 Win Over Morgan State

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (Nov. 22, 2024) -- Morgan State experienced a tough outing against the Maryland Terrapins in a lopsided 43-3 defeat during Shrek Night at the XFINITY Center Pavilion.

Unfortunately the Bears struggled to find their footing against their formidable Big Ten opponent. The Terps showcased their dominance on the mat, improving their record to an impressive 4-0 as they continued to build momentum in the early part of the season. In contrast, Morgan's loss dropped them to 1-5 overall.

The Terps won nine of 10 bouts, including eight by bonus points.

Redshirt senior Darrien Roberts emerged as the standout performer for the Bears, clinching the team's sole victory of the night against Branson John in a nail-biting 3-2 contest during the 174-pound bout.
