The Pride slipped to 5-5 overall with the loss, while the Quakers improved to 7-3 following their fifth consecutive victory.

Starting at 125 pounds, Penn won the first five bouts, all bonus point victories, to take a 26-0 lead. Mosher, ranked 32nd by InterMat and 31st by FloWrestling, stopped the Quakers run with a 14-3 major decision over Andy Troczynski at 165 pounds. Penn would take the next two weights, though the 184-pound bout between nationally-ranked Maximus Hale and Ross McFarland lived up to the billing with Hale using a late third period takedown to claw out a 4-1 decision.

Miller would rally from a 4-2 deficit in his 197-pound match against Nate Taylor, winning in sudden victory by the score of 8-5. Penn would get a tech fall victory in the 285-pound match to end the day.

Hofstra returns to action next Sunday, February 2, at 4 p.m. versus EIWA-foe Franklin & Marshall.
