WEST POINT, N.Y. - Jordan Soriano and Dom Findora earned back-to-back decisions to close Army's gap to four with three bouts left but the Dragons were unable to complete their comeback as they fell, 26-9, to the Black Knights on Sunday afternoon. Soriano, Findora, and Justin Griffith won by decision as Drexel dropped to 0-2 in EIWA duals.

The match started at 184 pounds as Justin Griffith earned the start for the Dragons. The true freshman scored on a takedown and escape for his first collegiate dual victory, 4-1. Army won the next two weight classes to take a 7-3 advantage.

At 125 pounds, Desmond Pleasant scored a takedown early in the first period to jump out to a 4-2 lead. Headed into the third frame, the redshirt sophomore held a 5-4 advantage after Army was able to score on a reversal. The score was tied at the end of regulation but a riding time point was awarded to Army who took the match, 8-7. Jaxon Maroney battled at 133 but was unable to put up any offense as he fell 1-0.

In the next match, Jordan Soriano trailed 3-2 as he entered the final two minutes of his bout. He was able to earn two near-fall points and a takedown in the third period to complete a comeback for the 7-4 decision. The victory cut the Black Knights lead to 13-6 at the halfway point.

In the 149 pound bout, Army took an early 3-1 lead and entered the final period with almost three minutes of riding time. Dom Findora was up to the challenge as he took down #33 Thomas Deck twice in the final minutes to come out on top, 7-6. Drexel was within four team points from tying the contest. The Dragons were unable to continue their momentum as the Black Knights closed out the final three matches with a win by decision and two bonus point victories.
