PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown wrestling team defeated Hofstra 20-15 in the team's first EIWA dual meet of the season. The Pride took the first three weight classes on the night, but the Bears stormed back to win six of the final seven matches to take the team win.
 
Hunter Adrian was the first Bear to win his match, a 5-2 decision at 125. Nicky Cabanillas followed with a 9-1 major decision at 133.
 
After Hofstra won at 141, Brown took the final four weight classes highlighted by a 12-1 major decision at 149 by Blake Saito, and a decisive 5-2 decision at 174 for AJ Pedro to claim victory for the Bears.
