DAVIDSON, N.C. (Jan. 17, 2025) -- The Bears showcased their wrestling skill at the Davidson Duals, clinching a commanding 26-13 victory over the host Bobcats.
Morgan State (3-11, 0-3 EIWA) demonstrated an impressive performance that included two technical falls, a major decision, a decision, a sudden victory, and a pin. This win marked a bright spot in their challenging season, improving their overall record to 3-9 and giving them a much-needed boost in confidence as they navigated the rigors of competition in the EIWA.
However, the momentum was short-lived as the Bears faced a tough challenge later in the day against Little Rock, succumbing to a 41-6 defeat. The struggles continued in a subsequent match against The Citadel, where they were shut out 40-0.
As the team looks ahead, they will have a short turnaround as they play host to the Johns Hopkins Blue Jays on Sunday after inside Hurt Gymnasium. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
