FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Visiting Hofstra jumped out to a lead that the Sacred Heart University men's wrestling team couldn't overcome in their EIWA meet on Saturday night. The Pride defeated the Pioneers 43-6.
SHU dropped to 0-11 during dual meets. The Pride improved to 4-6.

Nick Palumbo was in complete control of his 157-pound match. He produced SHU's first victory with a 6-1 decision against Joe McGinty. An escape by
Aidan Zarrella midway through his 165-pound bout pushed the contest to overtime. He took down Matt Rogers in the extra period for the 7-5 decision.
At 141 pounds Dakota Ascunsion had an early lead in his match, but got reversed by Justin Hoyle who went on to record the pin.
Sacred Heart is back at home for the last weekend of the regular season, starting Saturday against LIU.
