VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton wrestling team had its first home dual of the season Sunday morning, falling to Stanford by a score of 25-13. Lou DePrez and Jacob Nolan led the way for BU, picking up strong victories.

Highlights

• The Bearcats fell behind by a score of 18-0 before getting six points with a forfeit at 165 pounds. Dimitri Gamkreilidze was credited with the win.

• After a tight loss at 174 pounds, Jacob Nolan dominated at 184 pounds. Despite a scoreless first, Nolan took control in the second, riding out his opponent Judah Duhm and earning an extra stall point. Duhm started down again in the third, and Nolan went to work. The sophomore consistently returned Duhm to the mat and also earned back points on two occasions. When it was all said and done, he walked away with a 9-0 major decision.

• Lou DePrez followed suit with a strong win over No. 26 Nick Stemmet. Two early takedowns in the first as well as a late takedown propelled him to an 8-3 decision. He improved to 6-0 on the year.
