No. 24 Diego Sotelo (125) earns EIWA Wrestler of the Week after upending No. 1 ranked Anthony Noto

Sotelo put the wrestling community on alert that he is a contender for a spot on the NCAA podium in March when he pulled off an 11-8 decision victory over Lock Haven's No. 1 Anthony Noto in dual meet action on Jan. 11.

Sotelo has posted strong results this year nearly placing at the Cliff Keen and recording a close 8-5 decision loss to 2023 NCAA runner-up Matt Ramos (Purdue). He followed up his Cliff Keen Invite showing with a fifth place finish at the always tough Midlands Championship in late December. His win over Noto shows that he is ready to compete with the best at this year's NCAAs.

In additon to his win over Noto, Sotelo defeated Univ. of North Carolina's Marco Tocci by dec. 9-3 and helped Harvard defeat UNC 20-15.
