
Lehigh's Logan Rozynski (157) has been named the 2025 EIWA Freshman of the Year as voted by the EIWA coaches.
In his first year wrestling for Lehigh, the Sparta N.J. native posted a 19-7 record and claimed the EIWA Championship crown at 157 lbs. His EIWA Championship title qualified him for the NCAA Championships.
In early season competition Rozynski was champion at both the Princeton Open and at Lehigh's annual Sheridan Tournament. He was a Semifinalist and fourth place finisher at the Midlands Championships, considered one of the strongest collegiate tournaments in the nation.
At the EIWA Championships, Rozynski won matches over Felix Lattini (Sacred Heart) and Cade Wirnsberger (Bucknell) before defeating Luck Nichter (Drexel) in the finals by dec. 10-2.
In Philadelphia, at the NCAA Championship, Rozynski went 1-2, losing a close 2-0 decision to Caleb Fish (Oklahoma St.) in the first round before posting a strong 7-3 decision victory over No. 28 Chris Hamlin (Oregon St.). Rozynski lost an even closer match to No. 6 Ryder Downey (UNI) 1-0, which eliminated him from the championship. His NCAA performance was very impressive and fans should see him contend for All-America honors in the future!
In high school, wrestling for Blair Academy, the national Prep finalist and two-time Walsh Ironman place winner posted a 101-9 prep record. He finished third at the Beast of the East and was a four-time New Jersey freestyle state champ.
